Second Rodeo Slam Featuring Littlefawnn Ketchum

Join us at our new location in the midcoast at Waterfall Arts. The featured poet, LittleFawnn Ketchum is a 2-spirit Penobscot poet. They are a healer, teacher, writer, and actor. LittleFawnn lives in Winthrop with two fat cats.

Schedule & Format:

5:00 - Poets Reception - enjoy refreshments, meet poets
5:30 - Open Mic
6:00 - Featured poet: LittleFawnn Ketchum 
6:30 - 3-2-1- Slam 

(3 timed rounds with a 10 second grace period and point deductions for going over time. Must be original work. No props, costumes or musical accompaniment. 

Judges are chosen at random from the audience and will judge poems 50% on content, 50% on delivery. There will be prizes but it's just for fun.)

The Second Annual Trans Poetics Archive Poetry Anthology Book Launch 'For Someone You Know'

Join the Trans Poetics Archive at Mechanics' Hall. The evening is hosted by the fabulous Aquarius Funkk, featuring '26 Contest Winner, Lou Hoecker, and Keynote Speaker, Arisa White.

Arisa White is the Colby College Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing, and a member of the Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance’s community advisory board.

Friday, May 29 at 6:00 PM (doors 5:30 PM). $7 for Mechanics' Hall Members, $10 for general admission, no one turned away for lack of funds at the door.
